چکیده
Spin foam theory is a concrete framework for quantum gravity where numerical calculations of transition amplitudes are possible. Recently, the field became very active, but entry barrier steep, mainly because its unusual language and notions scattered around literature. This paper pedagogical guide to spin amplitude calculations. We show how write an EPRL-FK amplitude, from definition 2-complex implementation using sl2cfoam-next. reader explicit example balancing mathematical rigor with practical approach. discuss advantages disadvantages our strategy provide novel look at recently proposed approximation scheme.

Positivity of Spin Foam Amplitudes
The amplitude for a spin foam in the Barrett–Crane model of Riemannian quantum gravity is given as a product over its vertices, edges and faces, with one factor of the Riemannian 10j symbols appearing for each vertex, and simpler factors for the edges and faces. We prove that these amplitudes are always nonnegative for closed spin foams. This means one can use the Metropolis algorithm to comput...
متن کاملThe Construction of Spin Foam Vertex Amplitudes
Spin foam vertex amplitudes are the key ingredient of spin foam models for quantum gravity. These fall into the realm of discretized path integral, and can be seen as generalized lattice gauge theories. They can be seen as an attempt at a 4-dimensional generalization of the Ponzano–Regge model for 3d quantum gravity. We motivate and review the construction of the vertex amplitudes of recent spi...

The roots of this problem go back to the beginnings of calculus and it is even sometimes called “Newton’s problem”. Historically, it has played a major role in the development of the theory of the integral. For example, it was Lebesgue’s primary motivation behind his theory of measure and integration. Indeed, the Lebesgue integral solves the primitive problem for the important special case when...
متن کاملHow to Compute with DNA
This paper addresses two main aspects of DNA computing research: DNA computing in vitro and in vivo. We first present a model of DNA computation developed in [5]: the circular insertion/deletion system. We review the result obtained in [5] stating that this system has the computational power of a Turing machine, and present the outcome of a molecular biology laboratory experiment from [5] that ...
